Activity 6: Characterizing Exponential Growth and Decay

This activity looks at the behavior of rate of change and ratios of successive y values for a variety of functions so that students can observe that the ratio of successive y values is constant for exponential functions and that ratio shows up in the symbolic version of the function. We then follow this with the opportunity for students to use this information to model data which is exponential.
